Adam Ziyu Gong
Adam Ziyu Gong is an image maker and writer, who graduated from London College of Fashion as Master of Arts in Fashion Journalism. He performs creative work with a strong narrative in his multiple roles as stylist, photographer, graphic designer and creative director. He has done creative work for Wallpaper*, Le Figaro and Ferrari.
Men's Talk is a book talking about the life experiences, social observations and creative ideas of Chinese gay men, edited by Adam as his Master Project, which also includes Adam's first short film Stage, Me directed and starred by himself. Men's Talk will also be an ongoing portrait series documenting Asian gay men.

Men’s Talk, 2024
A book talking about the life experiences, social observations and creative ideas of Chinese-speaking gay men, edited by Adam Ziyu Gong.
The title is from a homonymous song by Taiwanese singer Stella Chang, released in 1992, which has long been regarded as a gay men's wives' song. The lyrics, from a woman's point of view, lamented the fact that her closeted husband was having an affair with his same-sex lover by the river, which is like a microcosm of the repressed life of countless Chinese-speaking gay men under the heterosexual marriage system and the tragedy it has caused to the people around them.
Countless Chinese-speaking gay men choose to leave home to break free from the shackles of tradition and wandering around the world. Some of them never go back, while others return to their homeland with the imprint of their travels to create a new life for themselves. This book is an attempt to chronicle what contemporary Chinese-speaking gay men look like, their daily lives, their ambitions, and their perplexities.
